  • About the Laboratory & Research Area
  • The Communications and Coding Theory Laboratory (CCTL) was founded in 1987. CCTL is the first laboratory in Seoul National University as well as one of only a few laboratories in Korea which investigated CDMA technologies as early as in 1980's. Major research areas of the CCTL include digital communication theory, coding theory, and their applications. In digital communication theory, we are interested in OFDM, MIMO, IDMA, cooperative diversity, and multi-hop communication. In coding theory, we are interested in design and analysis of error correction coding, space-time coding, and network coding. In their applications, we have research in technologies for 4G wireless communication, vehicular communication, satellite communication, and broadcasting.
