SNU ECE Professor Dong-il Cho, who has been elected as the next president of IFAC (International Federation of Automatic Control)
SNU ECE Professor Dong-il Cho was elected as the next president of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC), which is the world’s largest academic organization in the field of automatic control, with 49 countries as members.
SNU announced on the 14th that Professor Cho was elected as the next president at the IFAC regular meeting held online in Berlin, Germany on July 17th.
During a three-year term, IFAC holds more than ninety conferences in more than thirty countries and is acknowledged for its role as a pioneer in the key fields of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, including robotics and autonomous driving.
Professor Cho stated, “I hope this will be an opportunity for Korea to become a leader in the area of high-tech industry.” His three-year term will end in 2023.
