SNU College of Engineering (Dean, Kookheon Char) revealed that Professor Byoung Ho Lee from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering was named a fellow of The Society for Information Display (SID).
The Society for Information Display, which has a history of 58 years, goes through a rigorous scrutiny every year to select around 5 people who made a significant contribution to display technology and name them as a fellow. Professor Byoungho Lee has been recognized for his academic contribution to the 3D and augmented reality display technology including integral imaging, light field display, and holography. The award ceremony will take place at the Display Week conference which will be held in the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco on June 8th.
As for this nomination, Professor Byoungho Lee is a fellow for all the international academic society he is taking part in, which includes SPIE (Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers), OSA (The Optical Society), IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and SID.
