반도체공동연구소 세미나 안내
Global Research Network on MEMS and NEMS
일 시 : 2005년 4월 6일 수요일 오후 4시-6시
장 소 : 서울대학교 반도체공동연구소 설계연구관 도연홀
연 사 : Prof. Hiroyuki Fujita(The University of Tokyo)
The Center for International Research on MicroMechatronics (CIRMM) was established in 2000. The aim of CIRMM is to build a global network of universities and research institutions which are active in MEMS and NEMS. International collaboration on specific projects has been organized within the network. The largest of all is the Laboratory on Integrated MicroMechatronic Systems (LIMMS) between IIS and French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS). Other projects are under operation with EPFL in Switzerland, VTT Electronics in Finland, KIMM in Korea and Kahlsruhe University in Germany. Now the network is extending to IUSRC, Seoul National University.
* Research activities in the network include:
>> MEMS and NEMS fabrication technologies
>> Micro actuators
>> Micro and nano cantilever array
>> Optical MEMS
The presentation covers the concept and the history of the network as well as the latest scientific achievements.
Prof. Hiroyuki Fujita received the BS, MS, and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 1975, 1977,and 1980, respectively. He is currently a Director(2000-present) of Center for international Research on Micro Mechatronics, also Professor(1993-present), Associate Professor (1981-1993) and Lecturer (1980-81) with the Institute of Industrial Science, The University of Tokyo. He is currently engaged in the investigation of micro electro mechanical systems fabricated by IC-based processes and applications to optics, hard disk drives and bio/nano techology. He is also interested in autonomous distributed microsystems. He is a member of IEEE and IEEJ.
